In playing any golf shot, assessing the lie is one of the basic things you’ll need to do as it can significantly affect the ball’s flight. And in a situation where you’ll be playing the ball above your feet and strike it from a tight lie from the fairway, picking the right club for the shot would be very critical as there’s a great chance that the lie would fly in a right to left or draw spin pattern.
- Estimate the distance over which you’ll need to carry the ball.
